Following section is the excerpts from an interview by creativetoday.com I hope it is an easier way to understand your friendly graphic Designer.

Creative Today: If you have a Degree in
what field is it?

I spent all my teen years with Graphic artist Dileep ( an extremely good painter with an eye for detail attitude) and Shaji Kuttikkadu -currently working with worlds top film set designers-I have been assisting them on each and everything in design process and I learned the initial languages of visual communication from this duo.
Although I am not coming from a professional Art Institute, I have a great opportunity to use the library of Fine Arts College of Trivandrum India. I think I am content with my keen to know attitude, which made me a graphic designer for 17 years and worked with MNC giants and start ups worldwide.

Creative Today: What’s the best
site you’ve seen lately? What's so great
about it?

I am a regular visitor of apple.com. I like the clean and focused visual communication scheme and the user's access to key informations. It is simple, communicative, easy to use and clutter free.

Creative Today: If you were to change professions, what would you choose to do?

It’s hard for me to imagine not being involved in design somehow. I would have been a interior designer /landscape artist as I cannot think anything beyond design disciplines. I hope I am lucky to be in the design business with an industry reputation.

Creative Today: Do you have creative outlets other than Graphic Design?

Well, I haven’t really had much time to do anything else at the moment. When I’m not working at home I'm spending my time with my wife and son.Take my car to a never seen landscape, most often a solo trip to the wonder and tranquility of nature.

Creative Today: Design or technology? Which is more important? Why?

Both are important. But design wins this question as technology itself is a product of design.yes I meant it in aesthetic and functional ways. Both are complimenting elements in a sophisticated and ever evolving social and Industrial arena.

Creative Today: How do you overcome a creative thinking/process block?

Frankly this happens very often. When it happens I stop work and try to be away from the process physically and mentally. In between I can clear the block or wipe out the trace and start to pay attention to different alternatives quickly by going back to the brief and read it from the initial junction and try to explore something new. And it really works for me!

Creative Today: From where do your best ideas originate?

Ideally it comes from the client itself. Advertising professionals will disagree but in fact clients are often throwing seeds of ideas to a group of creatives minds. As client is the one who understand his business and its stakeholders. The seed to the ideas reaching to the creative minds by listening to the clients and paying attention to his each and every words meticulously. In other words it can happen anywhere with a piece of paper and sharpened pencil.

Creative Today: What’s the strangest thing you’ve acquired online?

Infact My life, I met my sweet wife through an online matrimonial site.

Creative Today: What’s your favorite quote?

“The space in between is as important as the space occupied” this is a thumb rule my design overview.

Creative Today: Do you have any advice for people just entering the profession?

Design career cannot ignore the social commitment. The ideas, implementation and everything can affect everything around us in many ways. Open your eyes and be keen with your ears; listen to your clients, be with him for a while, try to understand his business in depth. Then design is a freefall.
